Mr. and Mrs. John S. Barton

Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Barton came to Tower City in 1883 with three boys and two girls locating on a farm here. Art remained in Washington when he went with General Ellsbury on his surveying expedition. Chart married a Greeno girl, settling in the Minot territory. Sam farmed at Tower City. He married Zula Buswell who died at the birth of a daughter, Zula, Mrs. Fred Fischer of Fargo. Daisey, Mrs. Wallace Delaforce, passed away years ago at Tower City. Sam died years ago while visiting his sister Bertha, Mrs. Tom Crawford, who settled near Minot in the early 1900’s.
